A Herington woman is free after posting a $25,000 oral recognizance bond following her arrest on four criminal charges.

Two Herington residents remain incarcerated in the Dickinson County Jail in Abilene following their arrests Nov. 29 on drug-related charges.

A derailment in the Union Pacific Railroad switch yard in Herington was reported Tuesday.


Herington High School is hosting its annual pre-season basketball tournament this week.

PEABODY — The Herington High Railers suffered a loss to Peabody, 42-39, in Friday night’s season opener at PHS.
