The new Herington Hearts program held a fundraising event at the VFW building in Herington on Sunday. Eight vendors from the area donated 100% of their profits to Herington Hearts.

In honor and remembrance of Memorial Day, the Herington Dix-Day Post No. 1281 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars will be offering their Buddy”® Poppies in town on Saturday, May 25.

A Herington woman was the operator of a vehicle which struck a turkey May 14 on U.S. 56, approximately 4 miles east of Herington.


All four schools in The Herington Times area are sending student athletes to the Kansas State Track Meet at Cessna Stadium in Wichita. All six classes of schools will compete there.
