Welcome to DCNT Online — your one-stop shop for all news pertaining to Dickinson County, Kansas.
DCNT Online is a companion to the Dickinson County News-Times newspaper, which has been covering news and happenings, in one form or another for 132 years. In August 2020, a time when hundreds of small-town newspapers had shut down, the publications in Herington and Chapman merged.
We maintained the Dickinson County News-Times name, which is what the Chapman paper had been known by. Then, we set out to live up to our name and cover the entire county. The community response has been overwhelming and DCNT Online is the next step in pursuing that goal.
There is no shortage of news and features happening in Abilene, Chapman, Enterprise, Herington, Hope, Solomon, Talmage, and all the communities in-between.
At DCNT we believe in the next generation of community journalism. Please send us your meeting information, your community happenings, news briefs and story ideas.
